Karllon is a Vegas born and raised video editor and film photographer. Her work explores the area between the mundane and the surreal while balancing the feelings of nostalgia and mortality.
Coming from a background of film editing, she learned the importance of subtlety- the slight reaction to a statement, a minute camera move indicating a significant moment coming up, or the continuity of invisible editing throughout the movie. Her editing work spans across many platforms- non-narrative to scripted. Some docu-series she’s worked on includes Dana White’s Contender Series: Next Level, Fight Flashback and Embedded. Karllon has also edited short films such as Oyasumi, Last Night, and Goodbye Kaito- all of which have gone through festival circuits including Marina Del Rey Film Festival, Oregon Short Film Festival, and Florence Film Awards.
Her editing work seamlessly blends into her photography work, shooting abstract portraits for Las Vegas-based artists. Through subtle twists to seemingly mundane subject matter, she conveys her fascination with impermanence and fading memories.
